Bihar's Rustic Pride: Litti Chokha
Experience the earthy flavors of Bihar with authentic Litti Chokha enhanced with our Phoran Premium Garam Masala. This roasted wheat ball with mashed vegetables represents the heart of Bihari cuisine.
For Litti:
- 2 cups wheat flour
- 1 cup sattu (roasted gram flour)
- 2 tbsp Phoran Premium Garam Masala
- 2 tbsp mustard oil
- 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 2 green chilies, chopped
- 1 tsp ajwain
- Salt to taste
- Ghee for roasting
For Chokha:
- 4 large brinjals
- 4 tomatoes
- 4 potatoes
- 2 tbsp mustard oil
- 1 tsp Phoran Premium Garam Masala
- Green chilies
- Coriander leaves
Method:
Litti: Make dough with flour and oil. Mix sattu with Garam Masala, mustard oil, and spices. Stuff dough with sattu mixture and roast over coal or in oven until golden.
Chokha: Roast vegetables over fire until charred. Peel and mash with mustard oil, Garam Masala, and green chilies.
