Coastal Crunch: Daman Fish Koliwada

Enjoy the crispy goodness of Daman's famous Fish Koliwada enhanced with our Phoran Premium Garam Masala. This Portuguese-influenced fried fish dish from the coastal union territory is a perfect appetizer or snack.

Ingredients:

  • 500g boneless fish (pomfret or kingfish), cubed
  • 1 tbsp Phoran Premium Garam Masala
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp cornflour
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Oil for deep frying
  • Salt to taste
  • Curry leaves for garnish

Method:

1. Marinate fish cubes with lemon juice, turmeric, and salt for 30 minutes.

2. Mix flour, cornflour, ginger-garlic paste, chili powder, and Phoran Garam Masala.

3. Add water gradually to make thick batter.

4. Coat marinated fish pieces in batter.

5. Deep fry until golden and crispy.

6. Drain on paper towels.

7. Garnish with fried curry leaves and serve hot with mint chutney.
