Tribal Treat: Jharkhand Dhuska
Savor the crispy goodness of Jharkhand's famous Dhuska paired with a spicy chutney enhanced with our Phoran Premium Garam Masala. This deep-fried lentil pancake is a beloved snack from the tribal state of Jharkhand.
For Dhuska:
- 1 cup rice, soaked
- 1/2 cup chana dal, soaked
- 1 tsp Phoran Premium Garam Masala
- 2 green chilies
- 1 inch ginger
- Salt to taste
- Oil for deep frying
For Chutney:
- 1 cup mint leaves
- 1/2 cup coriander leaves
- 1 tsp Phoran Premium Garam Masala
- 2 green chilies
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- Salt to taste
Method:
Dhuska: Grind soaked rice and dal with ginger, chilies, and Garam Masala. Make thick batter, rest for 2 hours. Deep fry spoonfuls until golden and crispy.
Chutney: Grind mint, coriander, chilies, and Garam Masala with little water. Add lemon juice and salt.
