Fermented Sikkim Gundruk Soup with Phoran Premium Garam Masala

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup dried gundruk (fermented leafy greens)
  • 1 tsp Phoran Premium Garam Masala
  • 2 tbsp mustard oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 2 green chilies
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 4 cups water or broth
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander

Method:

1. Soak dried gundruk in warm water for 30 minutes.

2. Heat mustard oil, sauté onions until golden.

3. Add ginger-garlic paste, green chilies, and turmeric.

4. Add tomatoes and Phoran Garam Masala, cook until soft.

5. Add soaked gundruk and water/broth.

6. Simmer for 20 minutes until flavors blend.

7. Season with salt and garnish with coriander.

8. Serve hot as soup or with rice.
