Ingredients:
- 500g fresh tuna, cut into steaks
- 1 tsp Phoran Premium Garam Masala
- 1 cup fresh coconut milk
- 2 tbsp coconut oil
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 2 green chilies, slit
- 1 tbsp ginger, julienned
- 10-12 curry leaves
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 2 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tbsp tamarind paste
- Salt to taste
Method:
1. Marinate tuna with turmeric, chili powder, and salt.
2. Heat coconut oil in a clay pot (traditional method).
3. Add curry leaves, onions, and ginger.
4. Sauté until onions are translucent.
5. Add green chilies and Phoran Garam Masala.
6. Add marinated tuna and cook for 5 minutes.
7. Add coconut milk and tamarind paste.
8. Simmer gently for 15 minutes until fish is cooked.
9. Serve with steamed rice or traditional island bread.
