Tangy Aloo Tikki Chaat for Diwali
Aloo tikki chaat is a popular Indian street food that makes a perfect Diwali snack. Crispy potato patties topped with tangy Jeeravan Chat Masala create an explosion of flavors!
Ingredients
For Aloo Tikki:
- 4 large potatoes, boiled and mashed
- 2 tbsp cornflour
- 1 tsp Phoran Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder
- 1 tsp Phoran Jeeravan Chat Masala
- Salt to taste
- Oil for shallow frying
For Topping:
- 1 cup boiled chickpeas
- 1 cup yogurt, whisked
- 2 tbsp Phoran Jeeravan Chat Masala
- Tamarind chutney
- Green chutney
- Sev (crispy chickpea noodles)
- Chopped onions and coriander
- Pomegranate seeds (optional)
Instructions
Step 1: Make Tikki
Mix mashed potatoes, cornflour, chilli powder, 1 tsp chat masala, and salt. Shape into flat, round patties.
Step 2: Fry Tikki
Heat oil in a pan. Shallow fry tikkis until golden and crispy on both sides. Set aside.
Step 3: Assemble Chaat
Place 2 tikkis on a plate. Top with boiled chickpeas. Pour whisked yogurt over them.
Step 4: Add Chutneys
Drizzle tamarind and green chutney generously. Sprinkle Phoran Jeeravan Chat Masala liberally.
Step 5: Garnish
Top with sev, chopped onions, coriander, and pomegranate seeds. Serve immediately while tikki is crispy!
