Marry Me Chicken, But Make It Masala — The Viral Recipe Gets a Desi Soul

The Recipe That Went Viral for a Reason

Marry Me Chicken took over every food platform — a creamy, sun-dried tomato chicken that's supposedly so good it prompts a marriage proposal. The original is delicious. But the masala version? That's a whole different conversation.

Phoran's Marry Me Masala Chicken swaps the Italian herbs for Indian spices and the result is richer, deeper, and infinitely more complex. This is the version that actually earns the name.

A Note from Our Founder

"The first time I saw Marry Me Chicken trending, I made it exactly as written. It was good. Then I made it with our chicken masala and Kashmiri chilli instead. My family didn't speak for five minutes after the first bite. That's the Phoran standard — not just good, but unforgettable." — Founder, Phoran Masala

The Phoran Marry Me Masala Chicken Recipe

Ingredients (serves 4):

Method:

  1. Season chicken generously with Phoran Chicken Masala, Kashmiri chilli, salt, and a drizzle of oil. Marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Sear chicken in a heavy pan with oil or ghee on high heat until golden on both sides. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, sauté onion until soft and golden. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  4. Add tomato paste and cook for 2 minutes until it darkens slightly.
  5. Add Phoran Garam Masala and stir for 30 seconds.
  6. Pour in chicken stock and cream. Stir to combine. Add sun-dried tomatoes if using.
  7. Return chicken to the pan. Simmer on low heat for 20–25 minutes until cooked through and the sauce has thickened.
  8. Finish with fresh coriander and a swirl of cream. Serve with naan, rice, or crusty bread.

Why This Version Wins

Phoran Chicken Masala is a restaurant-style blend built specifically for chicken — it has the right balance of warm spices, acidity, and aromatic depth to complement the cream sauce without overwhelming it. The Kashmiri chilli adds colour and warmth. The garam masala at the end lifts the whole dish with a final aromatic punch.

This is the version you make when you want to impress someone. It works every time.
